Activate your Editor
After starting the Editor for the first time you need to activate your web license.
The Activation Key can be found in MY ACCOUNT under License keys.
Enter your code and click on Activatie web license. When using the CIMCO EDIT WEB LICENSE, the customers can install the Editor, on as many computers as they wish. However, only the licensed number of products can run at the same time. This is also known as a floating licensing, concurrent licensing or network licensing. This allows you to use CIMCO Edit on any computer in the world, as long as it is connected to the internet.

Works with a license file that is sent to you from your reseller or CIMCO.
When you have received the license file, it should be installed by double-clicking on the file “CustomerName-license.CimcoLicense” after the installation is completed.
This opens the CIMCO License File Viewer. Click on the button Install license file to install the license file.
If the license file requires activation, the program will display the options for doing this. See CIMCO Software Activation for further information. https://www.cimco.com/docs/cimco_edit/v2022/en/#SoftwareActivation. Only works on one computer and do not require any internet.

Running a License Server: In CIMCO Software V8 and newer, the Network License Server has been rewritten and integrated into the new product, the Software Manager. The Software Manager is intended to become the central control panel for all service programs in the software suite. When using the License Server, the customers can install the CIMCO Editor, on as many computers as they wish. However, only the licensed number of products can run at the same time. This is also known as a floating licensing, concurrent licensing or network licensing. Only works on computers that are connected to the License Server. (VPN is also possible)
A special network license key file is needed to run the License Server. The License Server does not work with regular CIMCO key files.
